Customer Request: Would like to see glass door options for a fireplace this large
Our Comments: The rule of thumb for making glass doors for very large openings is that we must keep each panel of glass smaller than 3 square feet. In order to do this on your fireplace, we either need to make a wider frame to reduce the size of the glass panels or add fixed end panels on each side. We have created examples of both.

Figure #2: This is an example of a Brookfield door with fixed end panels. This is an aluminum door and is the least expensive type of door for large fireplaces but is less sturdy.
