Roller Doors for Stacked Stone Fireplace - Project #10232

Customer Comments: We are interested in the Hudson Roller with the zip line for the attached fireplace. If it is possible to install, we will be purchasing these doors, so we’d like to see the mock up with -dark pewter, vintage iron, textured black and copper vein - gray vs black glass - gate screens. Thank you for your help!

Our Comments: We do not have graphics of the Hudson Door with the zip line option so we have used the standard Hudson Roller door for these mockups. Also, the roller doors can only be installed with an outside fit and because the stone is rough, we recommend using a 2 1/2" wide frame instead of the standard 1 1/2" frame to help minimize being able to see though the gaps into the fireplace.

Glass Door Mesh Options

If you are planning on burning anything in your fireplace, you need to have mesh behind the glass so you can burn a fire with the doors open. You can chooe between gate mesh backup doors and sliding mesh curtains. Functionally, gate mesh performs the best as the wire has smaller holes that sparks cannot get through. Aesthetically, mesh curtains may be preferred because they do not have a vertical center frame that obstructs the view of the fire. When you are not using the fire or you want a complete unobstructed view, they do not stick out like gate mesh doors when they are opened.

We are showing these options on a flat steel bifold door with a satin brass overlay and gray glass.
