Our Comments: For a fireplace like yours where the stones are irregular on the surface, we recommend a door that fits inside the opening made with a gap about 1/4" on the top and sides as illustrated below. We have provided several examples in various price ranges including doors made from extruded aluminum, laser cut steel and hand crafted laser cut steel.
