Before:
Aluminum is an excellent material for fireplace doors because it does not rust and can handle high temperatures when treated with powder coated finishes. It is also the most affordable.
Option #1: Stiletto Twin Fireplace Glass Door in Rustic Black with Clear Glass and Mesh Curtains. Shown as inside fit with mortar.
Option #2: Savannah Bifold Fireplace Glass Door in Rustic Black with Candlelight Brass Doors. Shown with Clear Glass and Mesh Curtains as an Outside Fit.
Steel doors are more substantial than the less expensive aluminum doors. They are heavy duty and rugged and are more customizable because the frames are laser cut.
Option #3: Carolina Mission Window Pane Bifold Fireplace Glass Door in Textured Black with Vintage Brass Doors, Clear Glass and Gate Mesh Backup Doors. Shown as Outside Fit.
These doors are hand crafted by skilled artisans from Solid Brass or Steel, depending on the finish that is desired. Very high end, and very refined. Items made from solid brass come in a wide variety of hand crafted patinas and other finishes. Satin Nickel finishes done on solid brass are the finest quality and will not rust like plated steel.
Option #4: Minimal-1 Twin Fireplace Glass Door in Black with Polished Brass Hardware. This door has no frame on the sides and is the most minimalist style door on the market.
Option #5A: HYBRID-2 Bifold Fireplace Glass Door in Black with Satin Brass Doors. This door has no frame on the sides.
Option #5B: HYBRID-2 Bifold Fireplace Glass Door in Pewter or Satin Nickel. This door has no frame on the sides.

If you are planning on burning anything in your fireplace, you need to have mesh behind the glass so you can burn a fire with the doors open. You can chooe between gate mesh backup doors and sliding mesh curtains. Functionally, gate mesh performs the best as the wire has smaller holes that sparks cannot get through. Aesthetically, mesh curtains may be preferred because they do not have a vertical center frame that obstructs the view of the fire. When you are not using the fire or you want a complete unobstructed view, they do not stick out like gate mesh doors when they are opened.
We are showing these options on a flat steel bifold door with a satin brass overlay and gray glass.

Picture #1: With your camera sideways, take a picture directly in front of the fireplace from far enough away to see the entire fireplace floor to ceiling like this.

 Picture #2: With your back to the fireplace, take a picture looking straight out into the room so we can see the decor directly in front of the fireplace.

Please remove all objects from in front of the fireplace opening before you take your pictures (existing screen, plants or anything else). If you have an existing glass door, take pictures with the doors open and closed.
Once I recieve your pictures, I will create several mockups and post them to a project page and send you a link to view and them with others for their input. I will follow up with you to discus your project, quote prices and help you choose the treatment that suits you best.
