Customer Comments: I'd like a quote on the following for our fireplace, please: #51, Carolina fireplace screen with doors, Color: Vintage Iron, Classic foot, Square handle.
Our fireplace opening: 49" wide x 44-1/2" tall. Our current fireplace screen size: 51" wide x 46" tall.
Our Comments: The Carolina screen cannot be made this large without fixed end panels and a fixed top panel. We have provided a mockup of that configuration. We also created several other mockups of screens that we think would look great in your home. Screen doors that are made larger without fixed panels must be anchored to the fireplace or they will tip over when the doors are opened. We have also included screens that are attached to the fireplace without feet.

Option #1: Carolina Free Standing Screen Door in Vintage Iron. This screen requires fixed panels on the top and sides.
Option #2: SI Plain Screen Door in Antique Red with Perforated Mesh. This screen needs to be anchored to the fireplace.
Option #3: SI Deer Scene Screen Door in Antique Bronze with Perforated Mesh. This screen needs to be anchored to the fireplace.
Option #4: Legend Screen Door in Vintage Iron
Option #5: SI Iron Age 2 Screen Door in Antique Copper with Hammered Texture and Bar Doors.
Option #6: SI Iron Age 6 Screen Door in Weathered Brown with Twists and Hammered Edge Details.

If you are planning on burning anything in your fireplace, you need to have mesh behind the glass so you can burn a fire with the doors open. You can chooe between gate mesh backup doors and sliding mesh curtains. Functionally, gate mesh performs the best as the wire has smaller holes that sparks cannot get through. Aesthetically, mesh curtains may be preferred because they do not have a vertical center frame that obstructs the view of the fire. When you are not using the fire or you want a complete unobstructed view, they do not stick out like gate mesh doors when they are opened.
We are showing these options on a flat steel bifold door with a satin brass overlay and gray glass.
