Our Comments: This small fireplace needs doors that either overlap the opening or fit inside. The doors we chose to fit inside have no frame on the sides, so we do not shrink the opening visually in width as it is already very small. The doors that overlap will cover up the rounded corners that are distinct to this type of fireplace, so they may be less desireable, but they will be less expensive.

Affordable Aluminum Doors

Aluminum is an excellent material for fireplace doors because it does not rust and can handle high temperatures when treated with powder coated finishes. It is also the most affordable. The overlapping doors can be a single door or twin door. You will see both options illustrated below.
