Customer Comments: Thanks Terry for your prompt reply. Attached is a closeup photo of the fireplace fire box opening and a drawing showing all relevant dimensions. If possible, I would prefer a frame that has a 1.5" - 2.0" lip that goes over the outside edge of the brick arch. My thought is that such a frame lip would make a clean visual arch over the masonry arch which is not a perfectly smooth arch because of the unique shape uni of each brick in the arch. Would appreciate your professional opinion as well as a price. Confirm that your frames come with heat tolerant glass.
Our Comments: Here are examples of doors made by 3 different manufactures. Each of them use 1/4" thick fully tempered safety glass. However, only the doors made by Design Specialties are warranted for burning with the glass doors closed. Hearth Creations and Stone Manufacturing require their doors to be burned open for coverage under warranty.

Glass doors from Design Specialties can be burned with the doors open or closed and have a lifetime warranty on the tempered glass for breakage under normal use. These are made from stainless steel with a black powder coat finish.
Option #1: Design Specialties Legend Stainless Steel Arched Fireplace Glass Door in Rustic Black with Clear Glass and Gate Mesh Backup Doors. (2" wide frame with 3/4" overlap).
These doors are also made from stainless steel but cannot be burned with the doors closed according to the manufacturers warranty.
Option #2: Hearth Creations Arched Stainless Steel Bifold Fireplace Glass Door in Matte Black with Clear Glass and Gate Mesh Backup Doors. (2 1/2" wide frame with 3/4" overlap).
Option #3: Hearth Creations Arched Stainless Steel Bifold Fireplace Glass Door in Oil Rubbed Bronze with Clear Glass and Gate Mesh Backup Doors. (2 1/2" wide frame with 3/4" overlap).
Option #4: Hearth Creations Arched Stainless Steel Bifold Fireplace Glass Door in Brushed Stainless with Clear Glass and Gate Mesh Backup Doors. (2 1/2" wide frame with 3/4" overlap).
Option #5: Hearth Creations Arched Stainless Steel Cabinet Fireplace Glass Door in Brushed Stainless with Clear Glass and Gate Mesh Backup Doors. (2 1/2" wide frame with 3/4" overlap).
These are hand crafted wrought iron doors with a special zinc coating that resists rust. Very high end and durable. These doors cannot be burned closed according to the manufacturers warranty.
Option #6: Stone Manufacturing WI-DF1G Zinc Coated Wrought Iron Fireplace Door in Natural Iron with Clear Glass and Gate Mesh Backup Doors. (2 1/2" wide frame with 3/4" overlap).
