Customer Comments: Hello, We are interested in working up two custom fire screens for a client, based on your design #10038 (Referring 1P22 With Andiron Cutouts).
Our Comments: Here is a mockup showing the 1P22M screen made to fit this beautiful formal living room Victorian style fireplace. We would recommend making the screen leaving 1/4" from the mantel legs and 1" taller than the opening. So roughly 41 1/2" W x 33 3/4" H. Although heavy gauge mesh is not required on a screen this size, we recommend using it to match the look and feel of the breakfast room screen.

Chenets: 11.5"W x 14"H - bridge is adjustable to 49"W max

This screen is hand crafted by skilled artisans from 100% Virgin Solid Brass. There are a variety of castings and finishes to choose from, each coated with a proprietary patented baked on enamel finish that never needs to be polished. Very high end, and very refined.

If you are planning on burning anything in your fireplace, you need to have mesh behind the glass so you can burn a fire with the doors open. You can chooe between gate mesh backup doors and sliding mesh curtains. Functionally, gate mesh performs the best as the wire has smaller holes that sparks cannot get through. Aesthetically, mesh curtains may be preferred because they do not have a vertical center frame that obstructs the view of the fire. When you are not using the fire or you want a complete unobstructed view, they do not stick out like gate mesh doors when they are opened.
We are showing these options on a flat steel bifold door with a satin brass overlay and gray glass.

Picture #1: With your camera sideways, take a picture directly in front of the fireplace from far enough away to see the entire fireplace floor to ceiling like this.

 Picture #2: With your back to the fireplace, take a picture looking straight out into the room so we can see the decor directly in front of the fireplace.

Please remove all objects from in front of the fireplace opening before you take your pictures (existing screen, plants or anything else). If you have an existing glass door, take pictures with the doors open and closed.
Once I recieve your pictures, I will create several mockups and post them to a project page and send you a link to view and them with others for their input. I will follow up with you to discus your project, quote prices and help you choose the treatment that suits you best.
