Our Comments: Here are examples of the 1P39M Wildflower Casting Screen in flat and bowed styles. The flat screen will be more stable if it is made to overlap the opening 1/2", but it can be made with an equal gap on all 3 sides since the mantel legs protrude slightly into the opening. We also recommend andirons with this screen to help hide the gas log burner controls.
