Customer Comments: Good morning. I would like to see mock-ups of my fireplace with glass doors that can be closed with a fire burning. I like the Savannah model, and would like to see it in textured black and cast bronze, if it fits my fireplace. If there's 1 more you can suggest, please send that over too. The fireplace is 35 1/4" wide and 30" tall, but I'd want further instructions on measuring before placing an order. I also want something that has a mesh screen.
Our Comments: Here are the doors you requested along with several others to consider.
Regarding measuring, as long as you are within 1/8" on the width and height measurements, you will be perfectly fine with the Savannah and Bungalow standard size doors.
Fireplace Opening: 35 1/4" W x 30" H
Aluminum is an excellent material for fireplace doors because it does not rust and can handle high temperatures when treated with powder coated finishes. It is also the most affordable.
These doors are hand crafted by skilled artisans from Solid Brass or Steel, depending on the finish that is desired. Very high end, and very refined. Items made from solid brass come in a wide variety of hand crafted patinas and other finishes. Satin Nickel finishes done on solid brass are the finest quality and will not rust like plated steel.
Measure the width and height in several locations to find the smallest and longest dimensions. Measure the height from the bottom of the lintel to the hearth.
Here's what we need:
Smallest Width:If you are planning on burning anything in your fireplace, you need to have mesh behind the glass so you can burn a fire with the doors open. You can chooe between gate mesh backup doors and sliding mesh curtains. Functionally, gate mesh performs the best as the wire has smaller holes that sparks cannot get through. Aesthetically, mesh curtains may be preferred because they do not have a vertical center frame that obstructs the view of the fire. When you are not using the fire or you want a complete unobstructed view, they do not stick out like gate mesh doors when they are opened.
We are showing these options on a flat steel bifold door with a satin brass overlay and gray glass.
Scale & Finish Disclaimer: Mockups shown on this site are not necessarily to scale and are meant to help you choose the style of your screen or door. The appearance of finishes represented may vary between digital monitors and screens. I do my best to recommend finishes that I believe will blend with your decor and flatter your fireplace. Please remove all objects from in front of the fireplace opening before you take your pictures (existing screen, plants or anything else). If you have an existing glass door, take pictures with the doors open and closed.
Once I recieve your pictures, I will create several mockups and post them to a project page and send you a link to view and them with others for their input. I will follow up with you to discus your project, quote prices and help you choose the treatment that suits you best.
