Modern Pattern Glass Doors for Granite Prefab Fireplace - Project #11464

Customer Comments: I am looking for bifold doors or tracked bifold doors, ideally with an interior frame (if such a thing exists) rather than an exterior frame due to the firebox being set back 5 3/4" such that the folded doors at a right angle would only protrude about 4" onto the hearth. I am looking for doors that have a pattern on them rather than just open glass and in stainless steel. I like door design DXF-36. The opening is 37 7/16 inches wide by 26 1/2 inches high. It's been converted to gas logs.

Our Comments: Here's your fireplace might look with the DXF-36 Patterned Fireplace Door in Stainless Steel or Satin Nickel.

DXF Steel Doors

These doors are made from 3/16" thick solid steel or stainless steel with a laser cut pattern. The mockup has been created using a portion of the pattern shown below. The manufacturer will crop the pattern to fit the dimensions of the door as closely as possible to replicate the mockup. We will then provide you with a CAD drawing for final approval prior to production.

Glass Door Mesh Options

If you are planning on burning anything in your fireplace, you need to have mesh behind the glass so you can burn a fire with the doors open. You can chooe between gate mesh backup doors and sliding mesh curtains. Functionally, gate mesh performs the best as the wire has smaller holes that sparks cannot get through. Aesthetically, mesh curtains may be preferred because they do not have a vertical center frame that obstructs the view of the fire. When you are not using the fire or you want a complete unobstructed view, they do not stick out like gate mesh doors when they are opened.

We are showing these options on a flat steel bifold door with a satin brass overlay and gray glass.
