Lobby Fireplace | Ten Hands Bar Fireplace
Customer Comments: Good Morning, We are looking to get a couple of custom fireplace screens for a project at the Westin Indianapolis. Please see attached images. What we would like to do is be able to put the mesh in a magnetized frame which could then be placed in the openings, so I first want to see if that is something you would be able to do. For the "lobby" fireplace, we would have to install some barstock on either side, and for the "10 Hand" fireplace, we would install some clips on the glass around the opening. If this is something you could do, I can get the exact opening dimensions. We would want an all black finish. Please let me know if you have any questions or would like to discuss further. Thank-you!
Our Comments: Here is an example of how we might treat the Lobby fireplace. We would provide 1" angle irons to be attached with screws on each side as well as in the center top and bottom. We will also provide magnets to attach the screen frame to the angle irons.
Fireplace Opening: 102" W x 19" H
These high quality screens will be attached to angle irons with magnets. A heavy gauge mesh will be used to resist being dented. They are made in such a manner that the wire mesh can be replaced if it gets damaged.
If you are planning on burning anything in your fireplace, you need to have mesh behind the glass so you can burn a fire with the doors open. You can chooe between gate mesh backup doors and sliding mesh curtains. Functionally, gate mesh performs the best as the wire has smaller holes that sparks cannot get through. Aesthetically, mesh curtains may be preferred because they do not have a vertical center frame that obstructs the view of the fire. When you are not using the fire or you want a complete unobstructed view, they do not stick out like gate mesh doors when they are opened.
We are showing these options on a flat steel bifold door with a satin brass overlay and gray glass.
