Our Comments: We can use a door with a wider frame to cover the damaged area and fit between the marble at the base. We can also use a surround trim behind a door to cover the area while improving the viewing area of the opening. Here are some examples.

Affordable Aluminum Doors

Aluminum is an excellent material for fireplace doors because it does not rust and can handle high temperatures when treated with powder coated finishes. It is also the most affordable.

Medium Range Steel Doors

Steel doors are more substantial than the less expensive aluminum doors. They are heavy duty and rugged and are more customizable because the frames are laser cut.

W1: Width of marble opening.
W2: Width between marble at base.
H1: Height of marble opening from marble hearth.
H2: The floor of the fireplace is raised above the marble hearth. We need to know how much. Find the tallest height.
