Customer Comments: Hi, I am trying to order doors for my condo fireplace. The fireplace measures 24 inches tall by 36 inches wide. I have included the photos for design. I have also included photos of the model tags. Please call if you have doors that will work. Thanks,
Our Comments: Trueheat is no longer in business, so the factory made doors are not available. We specialize in custom made doors for this exact situation. Below are a few examples of doors that can be used for your fireplace. Keep in mind that any glass doors you add to MUST be burned with the doors open in order to prevent your fireplace from overheating.
Fireplace Opening: 36" W x 24" H
Aluminum is an excellent material for fireplace doors because it does not rust and can handle high temperatures when treated with powder coated finishes. It is also the most affordable.
These doors are hand crafted by skilled artisans from Solid Brass and have a very minimal look about them. They are made without any frame on the sides, just an angle frame attached to the top and bottom, making installation a breeze and keeping the largest viewing area of the fire possible. They also have the option of Graylite-14 dark gray glass, which does a great job of concealing the prefab fireplace when the doors are closed.
If you are planning on burning anything in your fireplace, you need to have mesh behind the glass so you can burn a fire with the doors open. You can chooe between gate mesh backup doors and sliding mesh curtains. Functionally, gate mesh performs the best as the wire has smaller holes that sparks cannot get through. Aesthetically, mesh curtains may be preferred because they do not have a vertical center frame that obstructs the view of the fire. When you are not using the fire or you want a complete unobstructed view, they do not stick out like gate mesh doors when they are opened.
We are showing these options on a flat steel bifold door with a satin brass overlay and gray glass.
