Customer Comments: Hi, I'm interested in your designing a fireplace screen. The fireplace opening is 31 inches high by 42 inches wide. I'd like the screen to look like what's there now but with one modification: the top half would be hinged to fold down to make an opening to access the fireplace without removing the screen. Our Comments: Although we can make a fold down free standing screen similar to what you have, we highly recommend screen doors or glass doors that are attached to the fireplace. They will be much more stable and allow more convenient access to the fire.
