Customer Comments: Do your fireplace doors have controllable air vents? Can your fireplace doors be closed with a strong fire going? My fireplace dimensions at edge of outer brickwork are 35.5 W x 30.25 H x 29.5 D.

Our Comments: Most of the doors made by Design Specialites can be burned with the doors closed and can be ordered with a draft assembly at the bottom that can be opened and closed to allow air into the fireplace. There is a lifetime warranty on the glass and you can burn the fire with the doors closed. The grate must be at least 8" from the glass and you need to keep the fire reasonable. A roaring fire might break the glass, so you need to use your better judgement. Keep in mind that no glass door manufacturer is going to allow you to burn a roaring fire, which may be what you are considering a "Strong" fire.
