Custom Privacy Screen for See Through Gas Fireplace in Bedroom - Project #20082

Customer Comments: Hello, I'm interested in having a custom fireplace screen or door(s) for a 2-way gas fireplace between the master bedroom and Living room in my home. Please let me know if this is something you could do. I'm just interested in privacy on the bedroom side. Below are pictures of the fireplace and measurements. Please let me know if this is something you could do and if so, what my options would be. Measurements: Glass: 29 1/4" x 18 1/2", Metal Box: 36"x 33 1/4", has a rim near the top to direct air down 2 1/2" from the top.

Our Comments: We recommend a free standing 3-fold screen with metal panels behind the frame for this application. These look particularly nice with a pattern in black with antique steel panels behind to make the pattern "pop".

Fireplace Opening: 36" W x Need height from floor to top of fireplace.

Glass Door Mesh Options

If you are planning on burning anything in your fireplace, you need to have mesh behind the glass so you can burn a fire with the doors open. You can chooe between gate mesh backup doors and sliding mesh curtains. Functionally, gate mesh performs the best as the wire has smaller holes that sparks cannot get through. Aesthetically, mesh curtains may be preferred because they do not have a vertical center frame that obstructs the view of the fire. When you are not using the fire or you want a complete unobstructed view, they do not stick out like gate mesh doors when they are opened.

We are showing these options on a flat steel bifold door with a satin brass overlay and gray glass.
