Customer Comments: Looking for outdoor glass doors to keep ash inside fireplace in between fires. Interested in bifold doors with screen. Opening is about 44 x 30.5 inches.
Our Comments: There are 4 materials that can be used for outdoor fireplaces: Aluminum, Stainless Steel, Solid Brass and Zinc Coated Wrought Iron. Below are representations of each category shown from least to most expensive.

Before:
Aluminum is an excellent material for outdoor fireplaces because it does not rust and can handle high temperatures. It is also the most affordable.
Option #1: Hearth Creations Profile-2 Aluminum Outdoor Fireplace Glass Door in Graphite with Clear Glass and Stainless Gate Mesh Backup Doors.
Stainless steel doors are more substantial than the less expensive aluminum doors. Made from 3/16" thick stainless steel, they are heavy duty and well suited for outdoor applications.
Option #2: Hearth Creations Flat Stainless Steel Outdoor Fireplace Glass Door in Matte Black with Gray Glass and Stainless Gate Mesh Backup Doors.
These doors are hand crafted by skilled artisans from Solid Brass, which is extremely durable outdoors and great for coastal applications where there is salt air. Solid Brass will last for generations in outdoor applications.
Option #3: Stone Manufacturing Solid Brass EDGE-4 Outdoor Fireplace Door with Clear Glass and Black Stainless Steel Mesh Curtains. The unique angle iron frame has only the front edge showing around the perimeter and is perfectly designed to fit inside the fireplace. The gaps between the frame and stone can be filled with mortar for a clean finished look. Black painted stainless steel mesh curtains are used for outdoor applications.
Hand crafted doors take on a more rugged natural look for those who appreciate craftsmanship tasteful details. Zinc coated wrought iron will last for generations in outdoor applications.
Option #4: Stone Manufacturing WI-DF1G Contemporary Style Wrought Iron Fireplace Door in Zinc Coated Natural Iron with Gray Glass and Black Stainless Steel Mesh Curtains. Shown Matching with WI-T1 Granada Fireplace Tools. Black Stainless Gate Mesh Backup Doors Instead of Mesh Curtains are Optional.

If you are planning on burning anything in your fireplace, you need to have mesh behind the glass so you can burn a fire with the doors open. You can chooe between gate mesh backup doors and sliding mesh curtains. Functionally, gate mesh performs the best as the wire has smaller holes that sparks cannot get through. Aesthetically, mesh curtains may be preferred because they do not have a vertical center frame that obstructs the view of the fire. When you are not using the fire or you want a complete unobstructed view, they do not stick out like gate mesh doors when they are opened.
We are showing these options on a flat steel bifold door with a satin brass overlay and gray glass.

Picture #1: With your camera sideways, take a picture directly in front of the fireplace from far enough away to see the entire fireplace floor to ceiling like this.

 Picture #2: With your back to the fireplace, take a picture looking straight out into the room so we can see the decor directly in front of the fireplace.

Please remove all objects from in front of the fireplace opening before you take your pictures (existing screen, plants or anything else). If you have an existing glass door, take pictures with the doors open and closed.
Once I recieve your pictures, I will create several mockups and post them to a project page and send you a link to view and them with others for their input. I will follow up with you to discus your project, quote prices and help you choose the treatment that suits you best.
