Customer Comments: The opening size will be 37 1/2" w x 21 3/4". We just glass no frame and if it is possible just open like door hinge one side and open . I will send you pictures also. Thanks.
Our Comments: We can make a single glass door, but there must be some short of frame to hold the glass. Here are a couple examples. Doors that can be closed, must be open when burning the gas logs. The Concept Floating Glass Front is a fixed pane of glass that stands about 4" out from the fireplace, so it does not open or close.
Fireplace Opening: 37 1/2" W x 21 3/4" H
The single door must be burned with the door open. The frame stands out about 1" and the door only opens to about 120 degrees.
This is the two door version of Option #1. The frame stands out about 1" and the door only opens to about 120 degrees.
The floating glass front is a unique concept from Stone Manufacturing. This single pane of glass stands out from the fireplace about 4" frome posts mounted to a frame with ball caps to hold the glass. For gas fireplaces only.
Sliding doors have no hinges, just a frame 4 panes of glass sitting in a track. The two outer panes are stationary while the inner panes slide left and right to open and close.
If the other doors are outside the budget, consider an aluminum door with visibile door frames and handles
If you are planning on burning anything in your fireplace, you need to have mesh behind the glass so you can burn a fire with the doors open. You can chooe between gate mesh backup doors and sliding mesh curtains. Functionally, gate mesh performs the best as the wire has smaller holes that sparks cannot get through. Aesthetically, mesh curtains may be preferred because they do not have a vertical center frame that obstructs the view of the fire. When you are not using the fire or you want a complete unobstructed view, they do not stick out like gate mesh doors when they are opened.
We are showing these options on a flat steel bifold door with a satin brass overlay and gray glass.
