Customer Comments: Looking for the most realistic gas logs for my fireplace.
Our Comments: Here are the mockups I promised during our phone conversation. After seeing your fireplace and reviewing the measurements, you can use either 42" or 48" logs. If you use 42" logs, you must have andirons to balance out the fireplace. Andirons also look great with the 48" logs. I have created mockups showing both sizes with and without andirons. The Arizona Weathered Oak Charred logs do not come any larger than 42". It is possible to get them custom made, but it costs a small fortune.

Burner-2: This is the burner we recommend for the most realistic flame in logs this size. The Andirons will help cover the black box for the valve and receiver.

If you are planning on burning anything in your fireplace, you need to have mesh behind the glass so you can burn a fire with the doors open. You can chooe between gate mesh backup doors and sliding mesh curtains. Functionally, gate mesh performs the best as the wire has smaller holes that sparks cannot get through. Aesthetically, mesh curtains may be preferred because they do not have a vertical center frame that obstructs the view of the fire. When you are not using the fire or you want a complete unobstructed view, they do not stick out like gate mesh doors when they are opened.
We are showing these options on a flat steel bifold door with a satin brass overlay and gray glass.

Picture #1: With your camera sideways, take a picture directly in front of the fireplace from far enough away to see the entire fireplace floor to ceiling like this.

 Picture #2: With your back to the fireplace, take a picture looking straight out into the room so we can see the decor directly in front of the fireplace.

Please remove all objects from in front of the fireplace opening before you take your pictures (existing screen, plants or anything else). If you have an existing glass door, take pictures with the doors open and closed.
Once I recieve your pictures, I will create several mockups and post them to a project page and send you a link to view and them with others for their input. I will follow up with you to discus your project, quote prices and help you choose the treatment that suits you best.
