Glass Doors for Modern Fireplace with Fluted Tile - Project #20414

Customer Comments: Hi, I am looking to get some glass doors made for 2 of my fireplaces. I would also like to have some gas logs installed in them. Thank You.

Our Comments: Your selection of glass doors is very limited due to the way the zero clearance fireplaces have been modified. There are air spaces that cannot be completely covered. I have designed the doors below to accommodate this.

Important Note: Gas logs must be burned with glass doors open. In most cases, I cannot show the glass doors open. Please keep in mind when you see any mockups with gas logs burning with the doors closed.

Fireplace #1: 43 6/9" (?) W x 26 7/8" H

Sliding Door
Sliding Fireplace Door Option #3: Stone Manufacturing SD Sliding Glass Door in Flat Black with No Mesh (Doors Open). The outer glass panes are fixed and the inner panes slide left and right to open and close. Shown with Glow Fire Lava Series Gas Logs. These are the only logs on the market with burners inside the logs, so the flames actually come out of the logs themselves. They are the most realistic gas logs on the market.

Fireplace #2: Bedroom

This fireplace is extremely small and requires vents on the sides to allow air to flow into the fireplace. This limits the door selection, so we have chosen just one model in two finishes.

Glass Door Mesh Options

If you are planning on burning anything in your fireplace, you need to have mesh behind the glass so you can burn a fire with the doors open. You can chooe between gate mesh backup doors and sliding mesh curtains. Functionally, gate mesh performs the best as the wire has smaller holes that sparks cannot get through. Aesthetically, mesh curtains may be preferred because they do not have a vertical center frame that obstructs the view of the fire. When you are not using the fire or you want a complete unobstructed view, they do not stick out like gate mesh doors when they are opened.

We are showing these options on a flat steel bifold door with a satin brass overlay and gray glass.
