Customer Comments: Hi, We are interested in receiving quotes for several custom fireplace club fender options and would appreciate your recommendations regarding fit and installation. Please Note: our stone hearth has a beveled edge where it transitions down to the surrounding hardwood floor. We would appreciate your guidance on the best installation approach and whether you would recommend.

Our Comments: Functionlly, I recommend having the base sit on the wood floor wrapping around the molding outside of the hearth. This will allow the sides to be several inches longer, creating better stability and more seating area. Keep in mind, the door on the left will likely hit the bench when it is open. If you place the benches on the hearth, I do not recommend the AR-CF2 Separated Benches because the short side will cause issues with stability. The mockups below show examples made both ways.

Finishes: It is difficult to create mockups that differentiate between polished brass and hand polished. Polished brass is a highly polished using jewelers rouge and a high speed polishing wheel to product a highly reflective brass finish that is protected by a glossy baked enamel. Hand polished brass is in fact hand polished, which creates a duller finish protected by a satin enamel. Hand polished is more labor intensive and slightly more expensive.

Note: The benches are now only avaialable with round tubing. Square and Rope tubing is no longer available.
