Our Comments: Here are some ideas for free standing fireplace screens. Keep in mind that these screens have rear feet that are 3" to 5" deep so the screen can stand on its own when it is not up against the fireplace. If you want the screen to set flat against the fireplace, you will need to remove the rear feet.
