Customer Comments: Greg, We hope the photos help. Width of the lintel is 63 inches. Side pieces are 8 inches each. Height from underside of where track was to brick is 30 1/2 inches. It is important that we keep sparks from going through. Let us know your thoughts on what will work best.

Our Comments: I believe the 1/4" mesh will be sufficient for your needs and will provide decent spark protection while allowing more heat and better visibility than the tigher weaves. I tried varying the transparency of the mesh in some of the mockups to illustrate differences in visibility, but this is pretty much educated guesswork on my part. I included mockups with and without the bottom bar and included some accessories to help with the visual. The difference between each of the mockups is subtle, so be sure to read each of the captions carefully to understand the differences.

Mesh Curtains

Mesh curtains are a very common treatment for Mid-Century Modern fireplaces. They are both functional and convenient with a minimal look. These high-end screens have a special "Track and Roller System" that will not sag and cause the mesh to drag like a typical curtain rod. You can have them made with just the top bar or a top and bottom bar. The bottom bar helps hide the gap of the mesh at the bottom and prevent logs and ashes from rolling out of the fireplace onto the hearth.
