Our Comments: The Orion Slim Electric Fireplace is a perfect choice for this application. Although this model is designed to be built into a wall, it can be inserted into your fireplace with a custom surround made to fill the extra space around the opening. It can be raised off the floor slightly, or sit level with the hearth as shown in the mockups below
