Customer Comments: My fireplace is 42 1/4" W x 48" H. This is the finished dimension. I love the bamboo style. Please clarify in which group this photo you have attached belongs.
Our Comments: The photo is in the Hand Polished finish (Group 4). If you want the andirons outside of the fireplace, I recommend andiron cutouts as shown in Option #2. I included a glass door, which I had discussed with Blythe as a more convenient option if you are planning on buring real wood fires. The free standing screen looks beautiful, but it has to be moved off to the side when tending a fire. The glass doors stay open when a fire is burning and the mesh curtain are closed for spark protection. When tending the fire, you simply slide the mesh curtains open. When the fire starts dying out, you can close the glass doors to keep the heat in the house. I also included a beautiful custom made wrought iron grate (see more options below).

If you are planning on burning anything in your fireplace, you need to have mesh behind the glass so you can burn a fire with the doors open. You can chooe between gate mesh backup doors and sliding mesh curtains. Functionally, gate mesh performs the best as the wire has smaller holes that sparks cannot get through. Aesthetically, mesh curtains may be preferred because they do not have a vertical center frame that obstructs the view of the fire. When you are not using the fire or you want a complete unobstructed view, they do not stick out like gate mesh doors when they are opened.
We are showing these options on a flat steel bifold door with a satin brass overlay and gray glass.
