Customer Comments: I have a see through fireplace. I want black in the family room (red brick) and perhaps brushed aluminum in my living room (white washed)
Our Comments: Here are mockups for the Family Room fireplace in a variety of materials from low to high end. Some doors can be burned closed while others must remain open during the hot part of the fire. All of them can be closed when starting the fire and as the fire is dying out.

Aluminum is an excellent material for fireplace doors because it does not rust and can handle high temperatures when treated with powder coated finishes. It is also the most affordable.
Option #1: Design Specialties Brookfield Fireplace Glass Door in Satin Nickel (Anodized Aluminum). Can be burned closed.
Steel doors are more substantial than the less expensive aluminum doors. They are heavy duty and rugged and are more customizable because the frames are laser cut.
Option #2: Hearth Creations Stock Size Flat Steel Fireplace Glass Door in Champagne. Must be burned open.
Option #3: Hearth Creations Flat Steel Fireplace Glass Door with Satin Nickel Overlay. Must be burned open.
Option #4: Design Specialties Carolina Fireplace Glass Door with Rustic Black Frame and Satin Nickel Doors. Can be burned closed.
Option #5: Design Specialties Legend Fireplace Glass Door in Satin Nickel Plated Steel. Can be burned closed.
These doors are hand crafted by skilled artisans from Solid Brass or Steel, depending on the finish that is desired. Very high end, and very refined. Items made from solid brass come in a wide variety of hand crafted patinas and other finishes. Satin Nickel finishes done on solid brass are the finest quality and will not rust like plated steel.
Option #6: Stone Manufacturing DF1G-48 Solid Brass Fireplace Doors with Floral Casting Trim in Satin Nickel with Matching SPT82 Fireplace Tools. Must be burned open.
