Customer Comments: Hi Greg, We are ready to order the same style of fireplace door for our other fireplace but in a different finish (See Project #20862. Below are the dimensions of our other fireplace. It is crooked, as evidenced by the difference in the height on the left verses the right. We would like the same style of door but more of a brass or copper color . I think either your burnished matte brass or burnished medium bronze would be great. Perhaps you can show me both options and what you anticipate this one costing. Room is a speakeasy vibe. There's a bar and game table, even a hidden door to enter. It's hard to see the colors in these photos but the room is burgundy and gold. Thank you
Our Comments: Below are examples of the same door in Burnished Matte Brass, Burnished Medium Bronze and Burnished Copper. The matte brass and copper finishes are more expensive because they are actually plated before the finish is applied, so they take on a richer look than finishes like burnished medium bronze that is a painted finish. The fireplace is very much out of square with 1" difference between the width at the top and bottom, so I need you to double check those measurements. If it really is 1" off, we can either make the frame wider than your other door to hide the irregularities, or we can make the door frame out of square to match the fireplace. I recommend the wider frame approach. The frame will not match the exact shape of the brick arch, but the doors themselves will look square.
Fireplace Opening: 31 1/4" W (Top) x 32 1/4" W (Bottom) x 22 7/8" H (Left) x 28 5/8" H (Center) x 23 3/8" H Right)

If you are planning on burning anything in your fireplace, you need to have mesh behind the glass so you can burn a fire with the doors open. You can chooe between gate mesh backup doors and sliding mesh curtains. Functionally, gate mesh performs the best as the wire has smaller holes that sparks cannot get through. Aesthetically, mesh curtains may be preferred because they do not have a vertical center frame that obstructs the view of the fire. When you are not using the fire or you want a complete unobstructed view, they do not stick out like gate mesh doors when they are opened.
We are showing these options on a flat steel bifold door with a satin brass overlay and gray glass.
